At the core of my practice is the body, as the epitome of the tenuous relationship between interiority and exteriority, between truth and facade, and how we can penetrate one to glimpse at the other.
Focusing on an emotion, I look for a gesture which can best express it. I find that our bodies can be confusing, communicating contradictory messages through identical manners. A romantic embrace and a violent clash can seem all too similar. However we can feel the difference, and I am after that crucial subtlety.
